You are ignoring what I have already said. For me miscellaneous noise is not minor, especially when roleplaying. It is incredibly distracting if not debilitating to actual play. I dont have the time or energy to put up with that, so I elect not to roleplay in such a setting, and avoid it in all other cases if I can.

To be fair I don't think Dylan exactly meant it to be insulting. He was just saying he enjoys the experience of the public venue.

There are a lot of other awesome nonroleplaying events for you to enjoy if don't like the public roleplaying experience, though. Panels, workshops, vendors to visit, and a slew of board games, miniature games, and card games! Hopefully there will be something else for you to discover where noise is not an issue.
